This may sound strange, but hang with us for a moment. I was doing a Google search for “goat milk products” the other day, sort of a quick marketing survey to see what is going on online with our industry. The first thing I noticed was all of the new companies starting up in goat milk products. Some of them have some pretty creative names . . . Udder Delight . . . that one had me laughing for sure.
It’s not surprising, really, that so many new goat milk product companies are springing up. All over the United States, people are getting turned on to the word that goat milk products are good for you, and once demand starts to increase you can count on the supply to also increase. That’s just the way our economy works.
Ninety years of Mt. Capra . . . that’s how long goat milk products have been made here on our little slice of heaven in Western Washington . . . ninety years . . . long before Google searches, and long before Americans even considered raising goats and drinking goat milk.
We are into our third generation of making health supplements from goat milk. Before that it was goat milk cheeses. No flash in the pan company, Mt. Capra. You might call us pioneers in this field, and we would be proud of that label. Put another way, we didn’t jump on the bandwagon on goat milk products; we are the bandwagon!
When we sell cleansing supplements, or baby formula, or when we tell you about the health benefits of ghee, or the health benefits of whey, we are speaking from a platform of experience.
Just something to think about!
