Mt. Capra Says No to Hormones!

immune health with goat milk productsGrowth hormones have been approved by the FDA since 1954.  Surprisingly, all commercial-raised meat in the United States is the result of growth hormones being given to the animals to increase their growth and achieve greater feed-to-growth ratio.

This is a disturbing fact given the knowledge that there has been practically no research done to determine possible harmful effects those hormones cause on the humans eating that meat.

We at Mt. Capra find that to be unacceptable!

An unnatural substance is injected into commercial animals and no one knows if those substances cause harm to humans . . . thank about that for a moment. And if that is true in the meat industry it is also true in the dairy industry.

We simply do not like that uncertainty, and we won’t be a part of it.

Indeed, there are no growth hormones used at Mt. Capra.  Ninety years of Mt. Capra and we have never subjected our goats to hormones and we never will.

Would it help us to do so?  Probably! Would we be able to live with the uncertainty?  No way!

Our reputation is at stake.

The name Mt. Capra has become synonymous with healthy.  We make health products.  We make health supplements.  Our cleansing supplements, our infant formula, our goat whey and probiotics, all are produced in the healthiest way possible.  We even have nutritionists and chemists on our team to ensure that our products meet our rather strict guidelines and standards.  In other words, our goat milk products are the healthiest products we are capable of producing in the healthiest way possible.

So say no to hormones!  Mt. Capra is pesticide freeMt. Capra will not use antibiotics.  Likewise, Mt. Capra will continue to not use hormones.

Moreover, those promises we make to you.
