The Details

What is Goat Milk Lactose?

Goat Milk Lactose is the naturally occurring sugar in the milk of all mammals.  Also known as “milk sugar”, lactose is roughly 20% the sweetness of common white table sugar. Capra Lactose provides essential calories to power life’s everyday activities.

Good things about Goat Milk Lactose:

Goat Milk Lactose is extracted from pure goat milk whey and is perfect for babies, toddlers, kids, and adults. It contains no corn, soy, bovine (cow) ingredients, or genetically modified organisms (GMO’s). A perfect addition to foods and drinks, lactose has been used to support growth of healthy microflora such as Lactobacillus acidophilus. It is a perfect addition to coffee, smoothies, toddler drinks, formula, baked goods, and yogurt.

How sweet is Goat Milk Lactose?

Like most milk sugars, Goat Milk Lactose is only mildly sweet-tasting, and is generally used to increase calorie content. It can be used in baking, but is not typically used to provide the sweetness that a cane sugar does.

Great formula

I’ve used Mt. Capra for years. Best organic formula hands down.

We're so glad to hear that it is working well for you!

The lactose is one ingredient in our goat milk formula recipe. For those looking for the formula kit and recipe, you can find it here: https://mtcapra.com/product/homemade-goat-milk-formula-kit/

Perfect for our Twins

We use this as part of our normal baby formula mix. I especially like how in comparison to other lactose additives this goat milk lactose dissolves a lot more evenly. My wife and I have had our twins on this formula since about three months old and I haven’t looked back - it’s been so great and helped them add weight fast.

Quality product

This is great quality stuff. My little one can hobble handle it in small amounts, but that’s not effective if the product, just his lactose sensitivities

The best

My daughter had a horrible rash all over her body and her head that started at 3 months old (seemingly out of nowhere). We had been to the pediatrician 4 times, dermatologist twice and ER once. I got nowhere. I was told repeatedly that it was “cradle cap all over her body” or severe eczema. I used a bunch of medicated creams with chemicals, body washes, steroid creams. I started to believe it had something to do with toxins/Chemicals/ excess sugar etc. in commercial baby formula, and researched what to do. We started using the goat milk formula when she was 6.5 months and the rash was gone within a few weeks. She had tons of large blowouts when we first started using the formula. You could tell her body was getting rid of whatever was making her sick. I am very grateful for this formula. It has truly changed our lives as a family.

That is so wonderful to hear Kristina! I am glad your daughter is doing much better now and rash free! Thanks for sharing.
