The Details

What is Goat Milk Lactose?

Goat Milk Lactose is the naturally occurring sugar in the milk of all mammals.  Also known as “milk sugar”, lactose is roughly 20% the sweetness of common white table sugar. Capra Lactose provides essential calories to power life’s everyday activities.

Good things about Goat Milk Lactose:

Goat Milk Lactose is extracted from pure goat milk whey and is perfect for babies, toddlers, kids, and adults. It contains no corn, soy, bovine (cow) ingredients, or genetically modified organisms (GMO’s). A perfect addition to foods and drinks, lactose has been used to support growth of healthy microflora such as Lactobacillus acidophilus. It is a perfect addition to coffee, smoothies, toddler drinks, formula, baked goods, and yogurt.

How sweet is Goat Milk Lactose?

Like most milk sugars, Goat Milk Lactose is only mildly sweet-tasting, and is generally used to increase calorie content. It can be used in baking, but is not typically used to provide the sweetness that a cane sugar does.

Excellent product!

I love all the Mt. Capra products! I use this for the formula recipe for my baby. I’ve thought about trying it in my coffee too for a healthy alternative to add some light sweetness.

Awesome Nicole! If you do try it in your coffee, let us know how you like it.

Works Great

I’ve used this in the Mt. Capra goat milk formula recipe for my little one for several months now and it is a fantastic product. My little one has grown and thrived on the formula. The quality is consistent. I haven’t tried using it for anything like baking or sweetening coffee, but I will be experimenting with alternate uses for this product.

Formula has been a blessing!

My Amish friend is using the lactose in her grandson’s goat milk formula. Her daughter in law passed away from a blood clot when the baby was one week old. I knew you had good products and was able to step in and recommend and order them your formula. He is now a year old and has been a very happy, healthy baby, such a blessing in the season of grief they have all faced.
My sister had used Mt Capra’s gmf several years ago, when her heart medication interfered with her being able to breastfeed her 6th baby. While disappointed to not be able to nurse her baby, my sister was well pleased with such an excellent product. My niece is now 7 and has been extremely healthy and a brilliant child.
Thank you for being there for these times when families want to give the best to their babies and breastfeeding is not an option. God bless you!!

So glad it has been a blessing to your family and friends! Thanks so much for sharing it with others.
