The Details

It’s time for a clean protein

Mt. Capra’s grass-fed Clean Whole Protein encompasses everything that a clean food should be; no sweeteners, no flavors, no gums, no stevia, no hormones, no GMO’s, no chemicals, you get the idea.

The cleanest protein on the planet

We include only 1, 2, or 3 ingredients in each one (go ahead and check the ingredients panel, we’ll wait). You can actually tell what is in each protein by just reading the name!

What kind of protein is Clean Whole Protein?

All three of the Clean Whole Proteins come from grass-fed goat milk and contain a natural ratio of both proteins found in milk; whey and casein. Whey is known as a “fast” protein in that it is quickly absorbed and boosts the creation (building) of new muscle (protein accretion). Casein is known as a “slow” protein because, in case you couldn’t guess, it is slowly absorbed. The magic of casein lies in the fact that it can also “slow” the process of muscle breakdown (protein catabolism). This combination of fast and slow protein types boosts absorption and retention of lean body tissue which of course we commonly call muscle.

Why should I care about a “clean” protein?

Protein is fundamental to all of life. It is found in our muscles, organs, skin, hair, nails, and even in the hormones and systemic enzymes in our bodies. The human body cannot synthesize its own protein but must find it in a bio-available form in the environment. However, much of our environment has been wrecked by decades of industrial farming destroying soil, contaminating our waterways, and thus making our food dirty. For nearly a century, Mt. Capra has focused exclusively on building the vitality of our organic pastures. These vibrant grasslands support our pastured goats who then give the wholesome, protein-rich, clean food you are now learning about.

What are my options?

You’ve actually got 3 options. They are super easy to remember.

Option 1 = 1 ingredient

  •  Protein from grass-fed, goats in Washington state.

This whole protein contains the complete spectrum of amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein that our body cannot naturally build on its own. In addition to these essential amino acids, Clean Grass-fed, Goat milk Protein includes 4.4 grams of Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) per serving. These super-charged protein components boost muscle and lean body growth better than any other amino acid. They are leucine, valine, and isoleucine.

Option 2 = 2 ingredients Clean Protein Grass Fed Goat Milk Protein with Fermented Protein

  •  Protein from grass-fed, goats in Washington state.
  • + Fermented Protein from those same pastured goats.

The fermentation process is a clear example of natural alchemy which is to say a seemingly magical transformation. By harnessing the power of microbial action, ie probiotic fermentation, we are able to transform our protein into partially, pre-digested “peptides” ready for complete digestion. This fermentation step takes extra time and we don’t rush it either. But it is also why this particular option has a bit higher cost of production.

Option 3 = 3 ingredientsClean Protein Grass Fed Goat Milk Protein with Minerals and Probiotics

  •  Protein from grass-fed, goats in Washington state.
  • + Mineral Whey from those same pastured goats.
  • + Probiotics. 1 billion CFU’s of the highly studied probiotic strain Bacillus coagulans GBI-30, 6086 also known as Ganeden BC30.

We’ve added the mineral whey due to its concentration of over 20+ bio-organic minerals and electrolytes which are vital for essential muscle action and growth. Ganeden BC30 probiotics have been shown to improve both protein and mineral utilization which is an obvious “snug” fit when you consider the first two ingredients.

“I have used the Clean Protein fermented as a part of my breakfast to add protein and micronutrients to this part of the day. It keeps me going until mid afternoon. A good way to start the day and it is good to know it is from goats that graze on pesticide free pastures. This type of protein for those on restricted diets can be a helpful and a more easily digested food.”

-Nancy M.

“Love this product! Creamy, smooth yumminess. Makes my shakes taste better! Smells so nice and sweet, when I open the container each morning.”

-Shelley

Why Goat Milk Protein

Goat milk protein is one of the easiest proteins in the world for humans to digest. Goat milk protein resembles on a nucleotide level, the protein found in human milk protein. Because of this resemblance there is a direct connection between goat milk and people. This connection enables the metabolism to digest, absorb, and utilize goat milk protein with incredible efficiency and effectiveness.

What do you feed your goats?

  • This is both our most frequently asked question and as well as the one we are most excited to answer.
  • We feed our goats one main food. Are you ready for this?
  • Grass. Organic pasture: intensively-managed, never-overgrazed grass, to be exact.
  • Goats have been specifically designed to thrive on both pasture grazing and browsing.
  • Now, full disclosure: we are located in the Pacific Northwest where it rains a lot. This means the goats don’t always want to go outside to graze.
For those times we offer them free choice organic grass hay and 100% certified organic grain along with non-GMO alfalfa and organically grown barley fodder.
  • As you can see, these goats are living the good life. As much access to pasture as they want and lots of organic and non-GMO goodness for the rainy days.
Also, in case you haven’t seen it yet: Check out our farm video here. It will show you in 90 seconds what I could never convey with words.

Clean Whole Protein

My husband and I add the Clean Whole Protein to our oatmeal after it’s cooked.
It mixes in easily and we like that it has a neutral taste.
Love that we’re getting extra calcium and both fast and slow protein types to build and retain muscle.

Clean Whole Protein

Clean protein is a very good product, very nourishing to the body and easy accepted by the stomach. It did take a while to get used to a clean product. Our environment contains lots of impurities, so do our bodies. When is about to introduce ourselves, our bodies, to a clean food, clean protein from goat milk in this case, we have to be patient and do it slowly. Bottom line, Clean Whole Protein from goat milk is a very good supplement. Thank you, M Hawkins

Love!

I wasn't looking for a whey protein powder but I'm glad I added this to my order! I've absolutely loved putting this in my hot morning beverage every day. It adds a richness and a hint of malt. Not at all 'goaty'. I'm hooked! Absolutely love that this gem of a farm is local-ish to me and and stoked at what they're about

Thankful for this product

This is the only protein powder I’ve found that isn’t full of additives. I truly hope it never goes away as it’s also the only one that doesn’t upset my stomach and is easy to digest. I can’t say enough good things about this powder. I add to smoothies and baked goods daily!
