The Details

What is Capra Mineral Whey™?

Capra Mineral Whey (CMW) is a 100% all-natural powdered mineral/electrolyte wholefood sourced from all natural goat milk whey. CMW contains over 20 naturally occurring macro and trace minerals in a bio-organic form that is easily assimilated by our metabolism.

Why Capra Mineral Whey™?

For decades, Mt. Capra has single handedly changed the nutritional landscape by manufacturing a one of a kind goat milk mineral whey wholefood called Capra Mineral Whey™. Capra Mineral Whey™ has provided the mineral and electrolyte needs of tens of thousands of health seeking individuals. Capra Mineral Whey™ is a mineral/electrolyte wholefood that is developed by a gentle extraction process that captures the nutrients without harsh processing steps or methods. Capra Mineral Whey™ contains over 20 different minerals and electrolytes, the main ones being potassium, magnesium, sodium, calcium, and phosphorus.

Why Potassium?

Potassium is a key mineral that is involved in a multitude of systemic roles such as cellular and electrical function. Potassium helps to regulate acid-base balance as well as water hydration levels. Potassium deficiency is unfortunately very prevalent and symptoms can include fatigue, depression, hypertension (high blood pressure) and muscle weakness. Potassium can be found in a healthy diet of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. However, the Standard American Diet (SAD) does not accommodate for proper potassium intake. The SAD diet usually consists of overconsumption of highly processed foods containing low amounts of potassium and high amounts of table salt sodium. Capra Mineral Whey is a phenomenal product because it contains over 1000 mg of potassium in a recommended serving.

Why Sodium?

Sodium is a crucial mineral for healthy cell performance, proper neurological function, and a host of other systems and processes. Consider the relationship sodium has with amino acids and the importance becomes quite clear. Amino acids can only be absorbed through the small intestine via a sodium dependent transport system. Without sodium binding to a carrier, certain amino acids will not be absorbed. Capra Mineral Whey™ is comprised of what is known as bio-organic sodium meaning that it comes from a natural food as opposed to table salt sodium. The sodium found in Capra Mineral Whey™ will assist proper amino acid absorption.

What does “trace” minerals/elements mean?

Minerals are divided into two groups. Macro minerals (potassium, calcium, phosphorus, sodium, etc.) are needed in fairly large amounts while “trace” minerals (copper, zinc, manganese, vanadium, cobalt, etc.) are needed in very small amounts. Although minimal in size, trace minerals are a critical factor in maintaining a proper balance of health. CMW contains an abundance of both macro and trace minerals.

Does Capra Mineral Whey have electrolytes?

Yes, Capra Mineral Whey does have many electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, chloride, and phosphorus. These positive and negatively charged ions are capable of conducting electricity in a liquid. They help maintain the membrane potential of cells and are a crucial aspect of muscle function, high energy levels, heart activity, and pH balance in the blood and tissues.

Capra Mineral Whey’s effect on enzyme action:

There are over 3,000 active enzymes in every cell of the body! An entire “family” of enzymes are called metalloenzymes because one or more metallic minerals play an essential role in their function. For example, copper is a key element in many enzymes that build or tear down body tissue. Manganese is used by enzymes needed to utilize several vitamins. Zinc is used in over 80 enzyme reactions that are critical for life in all people!

What do the experts say?

“…one of the best natural mineral supplements I know is Capra Mineral Whey™.”

– world-renowned nutrition guru Dr. Bernard Jensen

“Eating right isn’t enough anymore, we need the Capra Mineral Whey™ to supply us with the enzymes and minerals for a healthy digestive track and a healthy lifestyle.”

– Dr. LaMar Diltz, N.D., M.T.

“The ages old ability of the goat to provide nutrition suited to man, shines through with Capra Mineral Whey™, one of life’s greatest foods to promote digestion, synovial activity and sound cell structure.”

– Dr. Paul Leatham, Ph.D.

“I have found that the Capra Mineral Whey™ is most valuable in (replenishing) supplying the reserves that are nutritionally depleted through our every day stresses and poor food choices. Mineral salts are necessary for the systematic function of all the body’s routine in normal homeostasis.”

– Dr Renee A Welhouse, M.H., N.D.

Capra Mineral Whey™ is not a whey protein supplement. It is a high quality mineral blend containing very little protein. Check out Caprotein if you are looking for a protein supplement.

Many of our customers love mixing the powder in 8 oz of hot water for a delicious and naturally sweet, tea-like drink. Great for those cold winter nights. You can also mix it into smoothies, soups, and more!

I love this product! Lately I have been using the CMW with maca in my fat bomb refrigerator cookies and we consume them pretty fast, they are so good. Great taste and texture, clean feeling product. Must be doing something great for me.

  2. kspier

I also use this product for my daughter’s formula (following the Weston A. Price foundation formula, but substituting raw milk for powdered goat milk). I also use the lactose, whole milk powder and cream flakes. Your products make preparing the formula a lot easier and give us a great piece of mind. I dissolve the powder in with the lactose and gelatin because I found that it does not dissolve very readily without some warming.

I went on a keto diet and my potassium got low but I was not aware. I was burping all the time constantly, then I was weak, and felt frail…went to get a electrolyte test and I was 3.1 which is low and dr shrugged if off which he should not have and sent me for a mri that was of course fine. I had to help myself so I turned to this capra mineral goat whey and in just a few weeks…I had energy, no more burping, no more gas, like someone switched on a light and it is very healthy and good for you and it is balanced w other electrolytes. I went off of it during a sickness taking antibiotics that were way too strong…now hoping it will resolve the burning feeling in my stomach/back from clindamycin damage ……and my stomach back

The reported benefits for synovial fluid and enzyme reaction support convinced me to try Capra Mineral Whey. I have been using it for two weeks with 1 – 2 T in warm purified water at least 20 minutes before eating. I prefer whole goat milk or CapraMilk for the whole food matrix. CMW seems promising enough to continue supplementing through Spring and Summer before evaluating it further. Thanks!

Capra Mineral Whey is an amazing product that I can not go without. It is the product I rely on when I need to supplement my diet with the minerals that I do not get with regular food. It is easy to mix into my smoothies and tastes delicious. I am grateful for this product because I am much healthier as a result of consuming it on a daily basis.

I have to say out of all the Capra Products I’ve tried this one has impressed me the most. Wish I would have known about it years ago. After 1 month of use I can see the results externally and feel them internally. Taste Great and Mixes well with the Capra Goat Milk Protein Products I use.

I have been taking Capra Mineral Whey for about 2 1/2 months — the standard amount of 2 TBSP per day. My digestion is calmer and I’m hoping the minerals help with my recently diagnosed osteoporosis. After about 3 weeks I began having a “metallic” taste on my lips and mouth. I don’t mind this at all — but I was wondering if any other Mineral Whey users have experienced this? Thank you, Mt. Capra for this wonderful product!

We’ve always been preachers of ingredients, we got a jar of this lovely stuff and are proud to say it’s a product we can stand behind!

  11. Nelly

I’m very happy with this product and use it in my green smoothies and yoghurt. Since it has a good amount of calcium it should help with bone building. So glad it has no fillers!

  12. BijousMom77

In early December of 2017 someone in a health food store highly recommended this product to my Aunt and Uncle. Both of them were in their low 80’s and were impressed with the positive effects they felt (I don’t know their details.) They were impressed enough they offered to pay for a container for my mom if she wanted to try it. My Mom has had a history of hypoglycemia and as she aged it was getting worse. I was so disturbed by what I was seeing in the months and weeks going into December of 2017 that I figured she would not be driving for long. I live with her so the seen steps of degeneration were clear. Her decline was causing safety issues. By the third week in January 2018 I was mind-boggled at the differences I was seeing! Huge! 2019 has begun and she still drives. She is 87.

Further validation of its effectiveness came when she had to have knee replacement surgery last June. When she was in recovery, the facility would not allow the supplement… it was so hard to see.. like I figured she began again having blood sugar issues again. When she was once again regularly on this product its positive difference was unmistakable again. Thank the Lord for bringing this product into our lives!

  13. Bridget

I love this product. I use it every morning in my coffee and have been able to cut out all use of antacids as well as supplemental potassium. Pretty sure I will be a life-long customer. Thank you!

  14. Heather J

You mention copper in your description above, leading me to believe that there is copper in the mineral whey. The nutrition facts don’t state that, but I’d like to know if there is any, and whether it’s balanced by zinc. I have a zinc deficiency and am high in copper and wouldn’t want to exacerbate that condition.

    • Jeff Andersen

There will be approximately 51 micrograms (.051 milligrams) of copper and 1,760 micrograms (1.76 milligrams) of zinc in each 26 gram serving of Capra Mineral Whey. Since this product is all natural, these quantities will vary seasonally. If you would like to see the complete list of minerals and their quantities, check out the product fact sheet, page 2, located here:

  15. Scott

Hello i want to use this product seems wonderful but im concerned about lead in it? I would take this daily so the accumulation effect is a concern, can you speak to this?

    • Jeff Andersen

Hello, Scott. You can use Mt. Capra products with confidence that there is no detectable amount of lead in them. Therefore, there will be no detectable accumulation.

After abusing my feet and ankles as a young person, I have had ongoing issues of popping and pain in my feet; I am not in my late 50’s. The Mineral Whey is the only thing I have found that stops the popping and the associated joint pain.

  17. burglrs1

I have been taking this product for 3 months. I have a mineral deficiencies. My latest test shows great improvement . Not a bad flavor. I have more stamina then before. Great Product! I will continue supplementing with Minerals. Thanks.

  18. Vicky

I just started taking this after reading about it in one of Dr. Bernard Jensen’s old books. I have had no side affects because it’s real food not synthetic man made. I have tried it in hot goat milk and cold goat milk smoothies and both are excellent, rich tasting and filling. I will reorder again. Thank you.

  19. Pam Coleman

I’ve had a problem with my hair falling out a lot. I decided to order this product after reading the chemistry of man book by Bernard Jensen. I’ve been taking this product a couple of times a day. It has been less then a week and my hair has stopped falling out. I know have my children on it. I wish I would have had this product along time ago.

  20. Holly

Hi! I’d like to give this to my 60 lb dogs. We love it for ourselves! What dose is appropriate for that weight?

    • Joe Stout, MS

Dr. Michelle Yasson recommends the full dose (26g) of two heaping tablespoons for dogs over 50 pounds. Half of that for dogs 20-50 pounds and 1/4 that for dogs under 20 pounds.

  21. ryan

    Does this product contain casein?

    • Jeff Andersen

Yes, but very little. Capra Mineral Whey is 96% minerals and electrolytes, and approximately 4% goat milk protein. Protein content is 1.3 grams per 26 oz serving. Since the normal ratio of casein-to-whey protein in goat milk is 80% casein to 20% whey, approximately 1 gram of the 1.3 gram protein total in a 26 gram serving would be casein protein.

  22. Riley

The flavor is different from every other product I’ve tried here or anywhere, but not at all unpleasant! You can feel the difference after drinking the Mineral Whey. My job is very active and it’s a great boost to have it with lunch. This will be on my shelf from now on.

  23. binnyliu

I use this every time I need electrolytes and protein together. It’s great for hikes, strenuous activities and when I need hydration. The separate packs are useful when travelling and the taste is almost nutty and biscuit.

  24. Tony malizia

I been taking Capa Mneal whey for la 14 years and it has given me great health support.
I will continue to take it .
    Great for general health.

  25. Angelica A

Not overly crazy about the taste, but probably wouldn’t notice it if I put it in a smoothie. The benefits are great!

  26. brianablincoe

My husband and I just started using this product and we have really enjoyed its taste and benefits. I prefer to just blend mine with some warm water as a hot drink once or twice a week while my husband enjoys it in his smoothies. I have a lot of gut issues and mineral deficiencies and hope that this products helps resolve some of them…so far, so good!

  27. pennycarrier

I have been using this product for several years, I like the taste, it can be mixed into drinks, yoghurt and cereal. I give it to my elderly father in his oats for breakfast as he needs added minerals due to having no stomach and teeth and he’s still going strong at age 99.

  28. mipeace7

I love Capra Mineral Whey. It’s my go-to beverage at the end of a long day. I mix a heaping tablespoon or more into some hot water, put my feet up and relax. Even during the hot summer months, I still enjoy my hot mug of Mineral Whey. I been drinking this for over a year and notice that my body and muscles are happy.

  29. Amber

The electrolytes in Capra Mineral Whey are very helpful for muscle cramps. It is also a great product for occasional digestive upset. The flavor is good and somewhat reminiscent of graham crackers. It can be mixed into food, beverages, smoothies, or is fine just eaten straight up. I like to mix it with raw cacao powder, maca powder, lucuma powder and cinnamon with water or coconut water to make a kind of pudding It is a great small snack or dessert that is delicious and healthy. I would recommend this product to someone looking to balance electrolytes, especially after exercise.
