Why isn’t it in powder form?

Goat Milk Cream contains far too much fat to be milled using our available technology. The flakes can be easily ground with a mortar/pestle or open top coffee grinder.

Will this dissolve in my coffee like commercial creamer?

The short answer is no. Goat Milk Cream flakes do not easily dissolve in water. Most find success adding the goat milk cream flakes to a smoothie or hot coffee by using a blender. Both immersion blenders and "magic bullet" style blenders seem to work great!

Can I rehydrate the flakes into a liquid cream?

Yes, you can transform the cream flakes back into a liquid cream by combining the container of Goat Milk Cream flakes with 1 3/4 cup of water in the blender.

How long does the rehydrated cream keep?

Rehydrated goat cream can be stored in the fridge for up to 7 days.

What is Goat Milk Cream?

Goat Milk Cream (previously known as Capra Cream) starts as fresh goat milk harvested from our happy goats on our farm in the Pacific Northwest. It is then run through a cream separator that extracts the cream from the milk using no chemicals. We dry this concentrated cream using a Refractance Window Dryer® which uses minimal heat and refracted light to provide a shelf-stable, wholesome, and delicious goat milk cream. The dried flakes are then simply added to the bottle with no further processing applied.

Why is CLA important?

Goat milk cream possesses several important essential fatty acids the most significant being Conjugated Linoleic Acid also abbreviated as CLA (see Fig 1). CLA is well known in the health and nutrition world and has been regarded for its health benefits for decades. CLA is only found in the meat and milk of grass-fed ruminants (cows, goats, deer). Goat milk cream also contains a much higher level of medium-chain fatty acids then cow milk cream.

Important: Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) is only found in grass-fed animals such as goats, cows, and sheep.

I have purchased this before, and I find it delicious. Yes, it does need to be blended in coffee but that is no problem. I have a small hand held battery powered blender that I use and find it well worth this extra step. It makes my coffee creamy, and the taste is wonderful. Smoothies benefit from adding it as well. Can't go wrong purchasing it.

REPLACEMENT FOR SUPERMARKET CREAMERS

Love this stuff - I consider it a healthy alternative to supermarket organic coffee creamers that are ultra-pasteurized. I just follow the instructions to re-constitute it using my NutriBullet blender.
